    Chairman

    Walid Al Shoaibi is the Chairman of CDC and Shoaibi Group’s Managing Director. Prior to joining his family business, Walid held positions as Cashier's Assistant and later as Credit Analyst with Houston National Bank from 1986 to 1987. He started his career with an internship at Brown & Root (Houston, Texas) as an entry-level engineer on Texas highway designs from 1984 to 1985.

    Mr. Al Shoaibi currently serves on the Board of Directors of: Kalaam Telecom Holdings B.S.C., McDermott Arabia Limited, Saffar Capital, and Saudi United Cooperative Insurance Company (Wala'a).He also serves on the Industrial Committee of Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce & Industry, is an active member of the YPO (Young Presidents Organization), and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (Saudi Arabia Section).

    Mr. Al Shoaibi was previously the First Vice President of the Saudi Italian Business Council, and currently serves on the Executive Committee.

    Walid Al Shoaibi holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rice University, Houston Texas, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Houston.



  • Sulaiman A. Al-Kadi

    Sulaiman A. Al-Kadi

    Mr. Sulaiman Abdullah Al-Kadi served as President and CEO of Saudi Electricity Company. Mr. Al-Kadi has been Deputy Chairman of the board of Saudi Electricity Company since June 2010 and serves as its Director. He was a member of the Eastern Region Council as representative of the Ministry of Industry and Electricity. He was a Director General and Managing Director of SEC, Eastern Region; member of the board of directors of General Organization.



  • Jonathan M. Franklin

    Jonathan M. Franklin

    Mr. Jonathan Franklin is President, Industrials and Head of Investments for Olayan Financing Company, the entity responsible for the Olayan Group’s business in the Arab world. His responsibilities include overseeing thirteen companies operating in the engineering and energy services, business-to-business distribution and construction materials sectors. In addition, he oversees investment portfolios in public markets and in private equity and the group’s real estate activities, including land trading and commercial and residential property development. He is also responsible for certain corporate functions: finance and treasury, corporate development and IT and legal services. Prior to joining Olayan in 2006, Mr. Franklin spent four years as a partner with Ernst & Young in London where he led the mergers and acquisitions practice for the UK and Europe, five years at Chase Manhattan Bank in London where he was managing director of the oil and gas investment banking activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and seventeen years with JP Morgan in New York, the last ten of which were spent in the mergers and acquisitions department where Mr. Franklin focused on advising clients on cross-border transactions. Mr. Franklin graduated with a degree in history from Cambridge University in 1979.



  • Ibrahim M. Al-Humaidan

    Mr. Al-Humaidan is a Chemical Engineer with 20 years experience in the petrochemical/chemical manufacturing industry and financing sectors. He serves as President and CEO of CDC - managing, controlling and supervising its daily activities. He also serves as the Executive President of ECO, and the CEO and Executive Director of Polysilicon Technology Co. Previously Mr. Al-Humaidan held various positions in both Olayan and Al-Zamil Groups as Projects and Business Development Manager for almost 10 years. Mr. Al-Humaidan also served as one of SIDF project department members for more than 7 years. Mr. Al-Humaidan currently serves on the Boards of a number of Saudi companies, such as SIPChem, Solar Arabia, Control PET Gulf, Christensen Saudi Arabia, Vetco Saudi Arabia, BP Solar Arabia and National Grid Middle East.
